Setting up your own goals v.s enhanced e-commerce in Google Analytics

I’m new to Google analytics. I’m creating an e-commerce store with Shopify and I have turned on the enhanced e-commerce functionality.

I was wondering why I would ever need to set up my own goals if I have enhanced e-commerce turned on. At a glance, it feels like enhanced e-commerce already has all the goals you would need for an e-commerce store. In that case, why would I ever setup my own goals manually? Am I missing something?
