What problems did you face when creating a marketplace?

Dear product launchers,

Did some of you recently launch an online marketplace? What problems did you face?
I'm interested in it, as one of my clients is planning to build a multi-vendor platform in a mechanics & car repair niche. The development can be done, but I'm wondering about the business side of things.
