Mail carriers are being told to leave mail behind at distribution centers rather than taking late trips, extra trips, or logging overtime

I was confused as to why carriers were struggling financially during the pandemic although delivery volumes were at all time highs.

I think I have slightly more understanding now. Part of the issue is the type of volume. Ecommerce deliveries are typically to the door of the consumer. This is much more expensive than bulk B2B delivery.

It also seems that higher volume means more overtime.

Thoughts?

Also, in your opinion, which carrier has been the most reliable throughout the last few months?
