How do I ship things from Alibaba from a supplier?

I made a purchase order with a company on Alibaba. I assumed they would just ship it to me but they're asking if I will pick up the goods at their factory or if they should send the goods to a port. Am I supposed to send FedEx or DHL out there? How does this work?
