I’ve noticed that beyond products/services which offer a specific type of value to the consumer (ex. self-help), having the product be related to humanity in a larger sense makes the person view your product as a way to relate to the rest of the world.

For example, if you have commentary about celebrities in the form of storylines to demonstrate your points, it's like the person will have access to knowledge about humanity, culture, and the world through you, and the value that you provide is also an added bonus.

But, the storylines and relating to the human experience is sort of creating a value of its own, because it creates the illusion of someone experiencing a sort of channel to humanity through you. This works with using knowledge or ideas in history, but I've found that actually using the idea of humanity to relate your product to social conversation changes everything.

Have you noticed this? How can this be capitalized on?
