Ok, so I've been officially running my online shop for about 2 weeks now and I'm quite pleased with my progress but there's still a very long way to go!
I'm only advertising one of my products through Facebook, and I've done 6 sales so far, a couple of them for more than 1 unit. I've purchased stock so am fulfilling orders myself.
I started running Facebook ads targeting page views, loads and loads of traffic but no sales at first. Then I did 3 on one day. After getting some advice I changed to target purchases (despite facebook saying there wasn't enough data) and put a little bit more budget behind my ad (£50 per day).
So I've let that run for a couple of days now and I've had 3 more sales. The reason why I'm happy with this is that the conversion on my site is ridiculously high! Yesterday it was 6% and today so far it's at a similar level. So as you can tell, my traffic has dropped significantly since I moved to a purchase conversion and Facebook is not spending anywhere near my daily budget.
How do I solve this? Is it just a question of waiting for the pixel to learn? It says it needs 50 conversions in 7 days but that's looking unlikely. I'm happy to spend the money, but I really would like to get more traffic.
Also, when I want to start advertising other products, do I need to let the pixel learn all over again? I'm running a general store so my products are likely to target different types of people.
Would love to hear any advice or comments.
