Outsource Product Photos?

Hi r/ecommerce

I took my parents jewelry store from brick and mortar to e-commerce at the start of the pandemic around March. Right now I'm struggling because I want to take better lifestyle photographs of the jewelry in order to attract a larger audience that doesn't know us locally. (Brand growth)

I found an agency that would handle all of this that includes lifestyle pictures on models, products pictures etc. (We have practically no life style photos for homepage and most product pictures are stock, from suppliers).

I'm wondering if you think it's worth it or not to go through with it. I figure I let the experts handle the creativity and legwork in shooting the pictures while I handle marketing, finances, and customer services.

Just wanted to open a discussion on pros/cons and see what other people in this community thinks.
