Should you give discounts on newsletter subscriptions when running a one-product store?

I’m at the last stages of launching my webshop and I’m not sure if giving a discount in my one-product is a smart move or not. I ask this because i’m not sure if having a visitors email will make up for the loss from the given discount. I plan on selling two products here (one accessory and a kit-bundle) but I don’t know if I’ll be adding any other items in the future (I might if the general product idea is exceeding expectations).

I know that certain holidays/events can get some customers to revisit you webshop but is it worth it?
