As some of you on here probably know, I've been trying for a while now to link my Etsy and Instagram so that followers and potential customers can click on links straight from my posts.
I'm going to put my links in here JUST for example purposes. No need to click it.
My domain is verified in FB Commerce Manager as serranocraftsus.etsy.com I went through the steps laid out on the Etsy help page and it's all set there.
My FB Commerce Account was approved after 7 WEEKS, as is Instagram shopping, but I haven't been able to link my products. They show up, but are all greyed out and I cannot select them for tagging. I get the 'domain doesn't match the one you chose for Instagram shopping' error message. I went into my FB Catalog and changed all of the links from 'https://SerranoCraftsUS.etsy.com/listing/listingID' to 'SerranoCraftsUS.etsy.com/listing/listingID' and when I tried to upload my catalog again from a data feed (I use a Google Spreadsheet) I received an error message saying " Products without "link" information can't be uploaded. Please check that this field is included for each product in a separate, labeled column." Even though the field is filled in with the URL.
I also got error messages saying:
" The provided URL is formatted incorrectly. If multiple links are included in one field, separate them using a comma. Specifying username and password in the URL is not supported."
" Without link information, your products may not appear the way you want them to. "
These are again for the columns that are filled in with the non- https:// links.
*SO…..I changed them all to 'http://SerranoCraftsUs.etsy.com/listing/listingID' and FB accepted those, but I still cannot tag items in Instagram due to 'incorrect domain.'
I've posted about this on the r/Etsy subreddit, and I get about 50/50 of 'you need to own your own domain' and 'I got it to work fine' (but offer no help).
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thank you.
