I sold a guitar to an international customer (Canada to US) last month and I filled out all of the customs forms before I shipped it. However, it was return to sender after sitting at the border for a week and the RTS reason is "IE BOND".
What does this mean? I filled out the forms correctly, paid for my shipping and insurance. Why would it be denied entry into the US?
I did a little Googling and read it has to do with brokering the package into the US. Doesn't the courier do this? I shipped with UPS.
I've shipped other guitars in a similar fashion to the States before and there's been no issues.
