Why do people have to scam for £10 smh. It may seem harmless at first but it certainly isn’t after the loss of a loved one.

I saw someone on a reddit marketplace saying they were selling £20 in amazon giftcards for £10 so I decided to go for it (yes my fault). They showed some screenshots of transactions so I thought it was a legit vendor, I cashapped them £10 and of course they scammed me and then deactivated their Reddit account. I was a bit upset at first but now with the loss of my brother it has really sunk in how much of an asshole that guy is as my family can barely afford a decent funeral service, especially amidst all this covid shit. Why do people go to these lengths for £10, unbelievable.
