For reference: We are located in California and sell products across the globe. We use Shopify as our main platform and Printful for our dropshipping needs.
My company sells artist merchandise and a good portion of it is through drop shipping. We are not sure on when to charge taxes to customers since every time our account is charged for a shirt on the dropshipping platform, taxes are charged to us but most of the time customers arent charged the taxes we we were charged on that sale, ending up on the taxes being paid by us and not the customer.
Currently we established a 10% tax on all sales to counteract the extra taxes being charged to us on every sale that customer don't pay, however, not sure if this is the correct thing to do.
Anyone has had something similar? Any help would be greatly appreciated
