How financially viable has it been to drop ship with AliExpress?

I’m very new to the realm, so excuse me if I sound illogical.

I’ve found a few niches that I’d like to test out within etsy and possibly shopify. My seller will mainly consist of aliexpress, and a bit of alibaba.

I’m wondering if anyone has made a good business or side business out of drop shipping from alixexpress.
