Customer returned item for a refund and it came back broken

I'm a tiny jewelry company/maker. I had a customer unhappy about an item she recieved and I offered to refund it. When she shipped it back it broke in shipping, even though I asked her to package it carefully. What would you do in a situation like this? The item was $70 and not repairable.
