Importing to EU Test the products

Hi everyone I need someone with knowledge about import to eu.

I want to start a ecomerce on Amazon and because I worked in that field I know that generally european brand ask for testing and the products be in CE standard but just the testing is expensive for a small amount and I notice that online nobody are talking for testing. so Im wondering if someone know if I import few qty in Europe and how much is the qty without those documents or other things if I want to sell on Amazon eu importing from china
