I'm coming to you guys for advice – I'm working on a wine & spirits webshop based in France, which we want to expand around Europe. We want to start working in most of the EU countries, but aren't sure how to go about it.
So first off, is it better for us to try shipping internationally ourselves from our warehouse in France, or work with fulfillment partners in each country, meaning that we'd be storing stock under excise duty suspension in a lot of different locations and declaring tax in all those countries?
If the second is the best idea, does anyone have any recommendations for fulfillment partners who deal with alcohol?
The volumes are low at the moment as we haven't started working in those other countries yet. There's potential for us to do a lot of volume, but right now it's just potential.
