Career Change Advice (Prog. Display -> EComm)

Hey all! Thanks for reading this, and I hope you’re having a good week.

I’m looking to make the jump from Programmatic Display, agency-side (8 years, some basic ROAS campaigns under my belt) over to E-Comm, client-side, and I’d love to get feedback on how to best position myself as a candidate at a Director level.

Main questions include (but not limited to!) -How could my lack of specialization in Search & Social affect my performance? -Any resources for learning how to bridge the measurement gap from online research to offline conversion (ex. Build & Price on a car website, then converting in the showroom without converting on the site)?

Also, any unsolicited advice you have would be GREATLY appreciated.
