Wondering if anybody had some insight on this topic.
Basically I have my own niche shop where I sell my designs on shirts online. I just pitched an idea to another upcoming brick and mortar gift shop type business that’s related to what I do. The idea was if they would be open to selling a specific shirt design of mine (maybe exclusive) in their gift shop that’s related to what they are doing.
The business owner is into the idea, but I’m wondering, if I’m approaching them with this idea vs. hiring me for a commission, would the right course of action be to work out a deal to split the sales profit from this design since I wouldn’t be charging them for the design itself?
How would you go about handling a situation like this? Or is this not worth pursuing?
