Harder to learn amazon or shopify/dtc channels side of ecommerce?

Have 2 job opportunities that would train me up in these respective areas. One specifically on the amazon FBA side and one focusing on the DTC side with the primary channel being through Shopify.

The plan is to work for a few years then do my own thing and believe that having knowledge of both channels is important, but want to know which is harder to learn, and thus I'd benefit the most from taking a job that trains me up on best practices in that area. Another way of phrasing this is whether it is harder to bring a successful amazon brand to general DTC channels or harder to bring a successful DTC store to amazon.
