How to track dropshipping orders in accounting books

Hello. I'm starting a dropshipping Shopify Store connected with Xerox Accounting. How exactly do I account for orders since fulfillment is done by the supplier directly?

1) Customer places an order on Shopify

2) Xerox records the sale

I assume I will need to create an invoice for every order, then list that as paid when I pay the supplier?

If that's the case, any way to automate this?
