Handling bounced order confirmation emails

I tried doing some research on this but struggled to find out what others were doing.

We recently switched to Klaviyo for emails and also setup transactional emails.

Klaviyo can identify bounced order confirmation emails and we noticed we actually get quite a few. We decided to integrate Klaviyo into our SMS platform using Zapier so that when an order confirmation email gets bounced, we’ll send an SMS to our customer reassuring them that we got their order and they don’t need to be concerned about not receiving a confirmation email (they won’t receive dispatch or tracking email either).

Curious to know how others manage this scenario? Is our solution over the top and unnecessary?
