Why there is no such thing as Sales Executive in e-commerce? And what is the similar role in the industry?

As far as my "research" on the subject, it seem that digital marketing executives and/or e-commerce manger is the one that fulfill such role? But in traditional business, marketing executives should be the one responsible for create exposure and create traffic, while sales executives responsible for the conversion, and finally manager responsible the overall business.

I am asking this because it seem as a e-commerce manager, one have to take care both sales and operation of the business (amount many other thing), is this normal?
