We ship a dozen or so packages a day and offer priority overnight shipping as an option at checkout. One package that was shipped recently was $118 in shipping costs (buyer selected and paid for priority overnight shipping ) and the buyer wants to return because they decided they wanted to go a different direction (not with our product). Do we have to refund the original shipping costs as well? The buyer has been rude to our team and by the time the item has been returned to us (we do not pay for return shipping) it will also be outside of the regular return period, which we have agreed to extend. It is a $750 item but we don’t have very high margins so $118 is not exactly pennies. Should we refund the initial priority shipping?
