I consult a few early stage ecommerce startups and they aren't willing to spend thousands of dollars, or just don't have the budget to work with an established influencer with millions of followers. However, there is still opportunity to work with the upcoming ones (<100K followers) but it really is a pain to execute. I have to look to look them up manually, find their email addresses, send cold pitches and setup meetings. Even after everything is finalized, more than 50% have ghosted for no reason. It has been very exhausting. Do you think it is worth chasing them just because their budgets are inexpensive? (they also have great engagement rates) Please share your experiences working with influencers.
Also, why do you think there isn't a marketplace like Upwork but for influencers?
