Using data on exit rates to identify high-intent users are experiencing friction in the buying process

Super helpful analysis for your eCommerce to know where to focus optimization efforts is looking at exit rates on highest traffic pages.


In this chart, you'll see that users are leaving at the /Collections/all page at a very high rate, showing us that they are probably not able to navigate to their next step because they couldn't find what they're looking for.

Exit rate percentages are different than Bounce Rate in that they are people who have demonstrated some intent. Whereas Bounce Rate shows you traffic that left on the first interaction. People who Exit came from a previous step, experienced some friction, and left.

Improve the experience at high Exit pages and you'll improve conversion rates pretty significantly.
