Anyone used an existing store's email list to seed/launch a new related store?
How did it go? How did you do it?
For the sake of argument let's say I have an established ecommerce store selling branded cat litter.
I'm about to launch a new store for selling cat beds. There's a huge overlap in audiences and it's safe to say those customers on my cat litter list will be 99% interested in buying a cat bed.
For various reasons it makes more sense to run the 2 stores seperately.
My question is, would you leverage your existing customer base for the new store and if so, how would you go about it to a) Not piss off your existing email subscribers and B) Maximize value add for them?
Any advice/discussion welcome
