WANTED: your advice for an Art Dealer e-commerce challenge

Hey guys!

I'm starting an online art gallery. There are risks for all parties, which I'd like to solve with a good e-commerce platform.

The business model: I sell artists work on my private gallery site online. The consumer pays first. The artist ships the work themself. The consumer receives the art. I take a % for the sale. Artist receives a % of sale for themself too.

Problem questions:

  1. How do I know the artist will actually send the work if I send them their entire commission up front before they ship the art? There is a risk they might never ship the art.
  2. How does the consumer know they'll actually get the art?

Does someone here have an e-ecommerce solution? I'm open to all suggestions at this point.
