Hey guys! I'm starting a small business but have a question about shipping boxes.
When purchasing shipping boxes, suppliers seem to use inside box dimensions, but FedEx/UPS seem to use OUTSIDE dimensions. In other words, if I buy a 12" x 12" x 12" box (which are the inside dimensions), the outside dimensions of this box would actually be around 12.25" x 12.25" x 12.25".
My question is, when measuring this box for FedEx/UPS, do I just use the inside 12" x 12" x 12" dimensions, or do I have to use the outside dimensions? Will the carriers charge me extra for the extra 0.25" on all sides? Any help is greatly appreciated!
