I have a small business that sells about 100 built-to-order unique products. I've been running on Woocommerce for about 10 years. But site maintenance is taking more and more time. I recently decided to rebuild the store because it was using a fairly bloated theme and WP's new site building features are nice and light. And then I was reminded of what a PITA Woocommerce is.
Is there a size of store or business where it makes sense to move to an SaaS solution as opposed to self-hosting? Any experiences moving from Woo to Big (or Shopify)? Is it a dumb idea? It's definitely twice the cost (not including time).
