Is there any argument for including a company’s internal product number in a product page’s title tag and URL instead of including the product’s vendor product number?

On each product page of the website I’m working on, the company’s internal product number is automatically being included in the product page’s title tag and URL.

This internal product number is just a number that the company uses internally to process orders. It’s not the vendor product number.

Presumably, the vendor product number is the number that anyone who is looking for the part would use to search online for the product.

In your experience, which makes more sense to include in product page title tags and URLs? The company’s internal product number? Or the vendor product number, which would be associated with the product no matter where it’s sold?
