Buzzer numbers and woocommerce checkout.

I currently setup shipping through direct chat and an issue I run into is apartment buzzer numbers. I have to ask multiple times before customers realize I need it.

If the courier needs a buzzer number and doesn’t have it I get billed an address correction. I’ve recently setup a Woocommerce site and am trying to figure out how to make sure I get this info from apartments that need it.

Has anyone else had this issue?

My current fix is to have the “instructions” text area prepopulated with a placeholder asking for a buzzer. My shipping software allows me to then fix the address with this info.

I thought about coding in some warnings that pop up if a unit number is detected in the address. Asking if they are sure there is a buzzer number or not.

What do you think ?
