Possible fraud?

A customer ordered a fairly sizeable but single accessory from us, then asked to return it. We said we’d be happy to process a return once the item was back in our hands. Now the customer has emailed several times today saying he’s changed his mind again and does want the accessory. He’s asking us to reject what he sent us so it gets returned to him. Is this a common form of fraud?
